The City of Crown Point is accepting applications for the Crown Point PACE and Police departments.
Currently, the City is looking for a part-time entertainment coordinator, as well as crossing guards.
The duties and responsibilities of the entertainment coordinator include, but are not limited to:
• Aiding the Events and Entertainment Director in all event planning and execution • Coordinating program logistics
• Creating, organizing and promoting educational and leisure programs for all ages • Supervising and coordinating work activities of instructors and seasonal employees • Assisting other departments as directed, as well as any other duties assigned
The desired minimum qualifications for the entertainment coordinator include, but are not limited to:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years relatable experience
• General physical activities, including the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Valid Indiana driver’s license
The duties and responsibilities of a crossing guard include, but are not limited to: • Monitoring traffic flow to locate safe gaps through which student pedestrians can cross streets
• Directing or escorting student pedestrians across streets
• Stopping traffic as necessary
• Recording license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and report to proper authorities
• Reporting unsafe behavior of students to school officials
