The City of Crown Point invites the community to enjoy an afternoon at Bulldog Park during the annual City-Wide Picnic.

The free picnic for Crown Point residents will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, June 30, under the  Franciscan Health Pavilion at Bulldog Park, located at 183 S. West St. The splash pad will be on  for families to enjoy.

“Every year, we look forward to seeing the community during the City-Wide Picnic,” Crown Point  Mayor Pete Land. “In addition to serving lunch, our staff works hard to serve up fun during this  annual event. We hope everyone comes hungry!”

This year, City staff will grill up hamburgers and hot dogs, as well as serve pulled pork, pasta  salad, chips, dessert, soda and water.

The City wants to thank presenting sponsor NIPSCO and sponsors Battista's Artisan Pizza;  Carriage Court; Culver's of Crown Point; McDonald's; Midnight Blue Towing & Recovery; Pop's  Beef; Prime Steakhouse; Rosati's Pizza; Station 21; Tavern On Main; and White Hawk Country  Club, for supporting this year’s picnic.

Donations also will be collected for the city’s annual Adopt a Family program, which provides  food and gifts to local families in need during the holiday season.
