Previously, Georgas served with the East Chicago Police Department.
The hires bring the department to 51 full-time, sworn officers.
“I’ve known Henry and Shane for a long time. They were fantastic young men back then and are fantastic young men right now,” Crown Point Mayor Pete Land said. “It’s always a pleasure and great thing to see: to have Crown Point kids who grew up in our community, went off and did their own thing, and chose to come back and create a life in Crown Point and serve our community. Fantastic job.”
