Faith Child Care Center in Gary will cut the ribbon on a renovation that tripled the facility’s size, opening new learning opportunities for dozens of new preschool students, thanks to a $200,000 grant from United Way Northwest Indiana and Early Learning Indiana. The grant supported the renovation of the center, including adding more classrooms and bathrooms.
“Partnering with United Way of Northwest Indiana allowed our dreams to become a reality,” said Tonika Davis, owner of Faith Child Care Center. “This is phase two of our facility renovation, and the United Way’s guidance was immensely helpful in getting us through the process.”
Adam O’Doherty, president and CEO of the United Way Northwest Indiana praised Faith Child Center.
“Childcare is a huge need for working families,” said Adam O’Doherty, president and CEO of United Way Northwest Indiana. “We’re happy to partner with Faith Child Care Center to bring these additional resources to Gary.”
