Flint Lake Student Council and Team Lead Leaf Clean Up

Flint Lake Student Council and Team Lead Leaf Clean Up

The Flint Lake Team Lead and the Student Council all came out  to rake leaves as part of a community service task.  Thanks to the Valparaiso Parks Department, the students were allowed to help out at Glenrose Park directly behind Thomas Jefferson Middle School.

It was all arranged and assisted by Kevin Nuppnau through the parks department.  With the help of Mrs. Flora, Mrs. Augustine and Mrs. Leone, twenty-three students, and a few parents, all arrived at 8:30 a.m. and everyone got right to work.

They all worked so hard to clear the area.  The weather was very chilly at 30 degrees, but they all had some hot chocolate to keep them warm as they worked hard.  There was a bit of fun too in between raking!

After two hours, all their hard work had paid off!  The lot was successfully cleared.  So in conclusion by putting in the work and heart, they served the community in a great way!
