Four Winds Casinos brings premier event space to South Bend and beyond

The Pokagon Band and its Four Winds Casinos are dedicated to meeting the needs of the community, and part of that effort includes a bevy of space available for rent at its new South Bend location. From large ballroom spaces to private dining rooms to luxurious hospitality suites, the Four Winds South Bend location is ready to fulfill your event planning desires with the 24,000 square foot Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center.

“We saw that there was definitely potential to tap into the market down here,” said Director of Sales and Catering Timothy Adams. “We created a different offering than New Buffalo. There's a bigger population and more businesses in the area.”

Four Winds worked on creating half-day meeting spaces at its South Bend location as opposed to the more overnight focused New Buffalo location. This includes both 10 conference rooms, as well as three board rooms with full audio-visual capabilities that can be combined to form spaces big enough to match consumer requirements.

“A lot of our meeting spaces are multi-use. We can do a half-day meeting for 10 people, or those same rooms can combine for a larger meeting or meal of 70 to 100 people,” said Adams. “It’s a state of the art design with all the elements every meeting room needs: a video projector, a screen that comes down on a push button, and a sound system within each room. You can also do a hybrid event or virtual meetings within our meeting space.”

Each conference room is also supported by audio-visual (AV) specialists that can add equipment not already installed in the room, making an already modular room even more customizable. If conference rooms are not your style or you require a mingling space, Four Winds South Bend’s business center also features an open-air atrium, two prefunction bars, and a patio space that, in total, encompass over 8,000 square feet.

Of course, the South Bend location is also fully equipped to handle personal events just as well as professional ones. The Ribbon Town Ballroom in particular is perfect for large gatherings like receptions, galas, and weddings.

”We're making a big push to let people know the Ribbon Town Ballroom is the perfect setting for social events like graduation parties and weddings. There's also a lot of charity organizations in the area that we look to hold their reception dinners and galas,” said Adams.

Events hosted at Ribbon Town Conference and Event Center are exclusively catered by the Four Winds’ impressive team of chefs in the top-line kitchen installed just off of the ballroom. Menus can be tweaked based on dietary needs, and it’s not just the catering that is tailored to the guests. The ballroom can be divided to create discrete space at an event, and the room is also equipped with programmable LED lights that can help make your time in the space even more dazzling.

While the hotel and event space is separated from the casino by a stylish promenade, the Four Winds understands that enjoying everything the South Bend location has to offer may require more than an afternoon. While individuals and small parties are welcome to rent hotel rooms, hospitality suites are available for larger groups. With gorgeous wood decor, catering services, and plenty of entertainment space, the suites are unlike anything else available in the area.

“There's four suites on the third floor with a capacity size of 50 in each room. When you go in, there’s a big dining area, a full-sized bar, a fireplace, and flat screen TVs. Three of the suites have bedrooms, but they also have that large living room space for entertaining,” said Adams.

The many dining options at the Four Winds’ South Bend location also support large groups. With modern designs and menus, in-house butchering, and handmade goods like desserts amplifying the dining experience, no one in the group is going to want to miss dinner.

“Copper Rock Steakhouse has three private dining rooms: one that seats 18 to 20, and two that can each seat 15 to 20,” said Adams. “Our buffet restaurant here in South Bend has reopened, and that has a private dining room as well that can seat 100 people. Copper Rock and Kankakee Grille also have special group menus we've designed to help that larger party expedite the service to that group and also keep the kitchen on a nice flow.”

The Four Winds’ South Bend location is sure to become a premier venue for both business and personal events.
