A free butterfly tour is planned for the public at Butterfly Meadows located at Foundation Meadows Park in Valparaiso. On Tuesday, September 20 at 2 pm one can learn about the Monarch and other native Indiana butterflies. The tour will be led by two northwest Indiana master gardeners and a retired schoolteacher who will discuss the eggs, hatching and lifecycle of the butterflies. Foundation Meadows Park, located at 3210 Campbell in Valparaiso, is home to a Monarch Waystation so it is possible that the Monarchs will be tagged for research during the tour 2 pm tour.
