Every year, Porter-Starke Services Foundation’s Turkey Trot helps to kick Thanksgiving off right, and GreatNews.Life (GNL) is always there to capture the best moments of your run and help you start the holiday season on the right foot.
The race, which happens on Thanksgiving each year, is vital to Porter-Starke Services and its mission to support the Region. The event helps raise funding that the foundation uses in its efforts to assist those in need. Each year, Porter-Starke Services donates over $20,000 to support individuals, programs, and services that aid in mental health issues and substance abuse treatments.
“We really appreciate everyone that joins us in support of health and wellness on race day morning,” said Director of Marketing for Porter-Starke Services Elliott Miller. “This walk/run is truly the result of the generosity of our participants, donors and sponsors, as well as a lot of hard work from staff members and volunteers. It’s a great way to gather together on Thanksgiving morning.”
