What’s recently happened?
Recently at Boone Grove High School, the community gathered to celebrate the seniors in fall sports. During Senior Night, the seniors are honored for their dedication to Boone Grove sports. The school recognized them as they walked out on their dedicated field or court. It’s a memorable event for the seniors since this will be one of the last times they play the sport for their high school career. It was especially emotional for the seniors in football, cheer, and dance as this was the first ever senior night that seniors got to walk on their own home football field. It was exciting to hear the seniors' future plans for after high school. Boone Grove wishes them well on their future journeys.
Additionally to senior night, the Lady Wolves Soccer Team has just been recognized as champions for the 2024 Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Sectional. This is the first Champion title the Wolves have won since 2019. It is a proud moment for the school and the community behind the Lady Wolves.
It has been a proud season for Boone Groves football as well; the team has been showing promise with its strong performances and a shot at sectional champions.
Boone Grove continues to show its commitment to its athletes through events like these, with the community coming together to support the athletic programs.

In November, Boone Grove is likely to continue in the IHSAA Class 2A State playoffs based on past performances. How the team plays its next games will be crucial to the playoffs. The Boone Grove Football team won the title of Sectional champions last year and is hoping to keep it this year.

Student spotlight:
Lylah Fisher has been at Boone Grove since the beginning and now it is time for her to wrap up her high school career with senior year. Fisher has been cheering through Boone Grove for seven years. As captain of the cheer team, Fisher is ready to leave an impact on her team.
In Fisher's freshman year she got very close with her coach, Lori Jones.
“Lori is who made me the cheerleader I am today,” Fisher said. “She was there for me through all my ups and downs whether it was cheer-related or not.”
Fisher is hoping to be just as impactful to some of the underclassmen on the team as Jones was on her. She hopes the underclassmen can come to her for everything just like she could go to Jones.
Fisher was a little nervous at first to take on the role of captain for the cheer team after losing the seniors before her and gaining a new coach.
“It was a new dynamic and program that even the seniors had to get used to,” Fisher said.
Fisher was stressed at first with the team but after getting used to a schedule, the team was able to come together to push each other to their full potential.
The Boone Grove Cheer team has come a long way since last summer and now Fisher is excited to share her last night cheering on the football field with her team.
“I want the underclassmen to learn to take in the moments because I’m learning now it doesn’t last forever,” Fisher said.
Fisher wants to leave a dent on the team by showing the underclassmen to stay dedicated even when people refuse to accept that cheer is a sport.
“If only they knew the amount of work we put in,” Fisher said. “I hope the girls can take from me to learn to stay determined.”
Fisher says she hopes that no one loses their passion and wants the best for the future of Boone Grove Cheerleading.
