Heather Horton One Night Jam at Chicago Street Theatre

Heather-Horton-2Chicago Street Theatre's One Night Jam concert series is proud to welcome Chicago-based singer/songwriter Heather Horton for her very first solo concert in Valparaiso, backed by her husband Michael McDermott, on Sunday, September 29th.

Horton, who usually serves as McDermott's violinist and backing vocalist, has been writing her own songs for years. Her most recent CD, "Postcard Saturdays," garnered critical acclaim and is a fan favorite.

"After Michael's last concert at CST, we discussed bringing Heather back for her own show in our Edith B. Wood studio theatre," said series promotor Paul Braun.

"I've been friends with Michael and Heather for years. I brought Michael to CST for his very first Valparaiso appearance way back in 2001, and I wanted to do the same for Heather," said Braun.

"Heather's music is an eclectic mix of country, blues and pop. Her sweet voice and sweeter personality come across on stage. She loves the audience, and they love her right back."Heather-Horton-1

"I have some incredibly gifted musical friends, and I love to share them with my audiences. Heather is most definitely one of those," Braun said.

Showtime is 7PM Central on Sunday. Tickets are $15, limited to 50 and can be purchased either from www.ChicagoStreet.org or by calling the box office at 219-464-1636.
