High School Juniors Invited to Learn About Purdue Engineering

High school juniors, their parents and teachers are invited to Juniors Exploring Engineering at Purdue, a daylong event sponsored by Purdue University's Women in Engineering Program, on April 12.

Students will meet professors, women engineering students and practicing women engineers. They'll have a chance to explore two engineering programs of their choice. Engineering programs are aeronautics and astronautics, agricultural and biological, biomedical, chemical, civil, construction engineering and management, electrical and computer, environmental and ecological, industrial, materials science, mechanical and nuclear.

Representatives of first-year engineering, admissions and financial aid will be available to answer questions.

Lunch and campus tours also will be provided. There will be early registration, campus tours and an informal reception in the Armstrong Hall atrium for those arriving the night before.

Registration, which closes April 5, is free but limited to 250 participants. To register online, go to http://www.purdue.edu/wiep.
