Hilltop’s Child and Adult Care Food Program Provides Full Meals All Summer Long

PM-Snack-at-Hilltop-2015Hilltop Neighborhood House is making one of its priorities to feed anyone who is hungry and looking for a complete meal all summer long. Beginning June 15th, Hilltop will be providing a free lunch site at 554 Locust St. Valparaiso Monday through Friday 11:00am-12:00pm. Through the USDA and Valparaiso Community Schools, Walt’s Place will be a Free Lunch Site for children 18 and under. This is part of their Healthy Kids, Healthy Choices Program.

Hilltop provides over 300 free meals every day to over 100 children at both the Early Childhood Education Center and Walt’s Place Afterschool and Summer Program. The Hilltop Food Pantry now serves over 600 individuals every month with donations from the Valparaiso community.
