The Valparaiso High School boys’ basketball team got out to a hot start, holding the LaPorte Slicers to just 11 first-half points in their 58-38 victory on Saturday night.
Bret Boetel led the Vikings with 13 points on the evening, while also tallying five rebounds. John Mosser added 12 points and seven rebounds and Drew Boetel totaled nine bounds and four assists against the Slicers.
The Vikings’ junior varsity team also fared well and came out with a strong defensive effort holding the Slicers to just five, three, and two points in the first three quarters, respectively, in their 43-25 point victory.
