Lake Co. Sheriff candidates will discuss their positions in advance of May 6 election
Indiana University Northwest invites the community to a “Meet the Candidates Night,” hosted by the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Center for Urban and Regional Excellence.
Candidates for the position of Lake County Indiana Sheriff will gather for a public forum from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 8 in the Bruce W. Bergland Auditorium, located in the Savannah Center. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Steve Walsh, host/producer at Lakeshore Public Media, will moderate the discussion. Each candidate will have two minutes to introduce themselves and state their platforms. Following the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions of each candidate.
Candidates invited to the forum include: Democrats Richard Ligon, Oscar Martinez, Jr., and John Buncich, and Republicans John Ramos, Jr., and Dan Bursac.
Seating is limited and will be first-come, first-served.
