Join Lakeshore PAWS and other local shelters, rescues, and pet vendors as they highlight the benefits of animal adoption during Pet Rescue and Animal Adoption Day on Sunday, June 3, 2012.
Lakeshore PAWS dogs and cats of various breeds will be available for adoption from noon to 5 p.m. at this free event, held at Sunset Hill Park, 775 Meridian Rd, Valparaiso.
Hosted by the Porter County Wildlife Management Advisory Board, the day features fun for the whole family—including a pet blessing, a pet walk, contests, police K-9 demos, the chance to meet exotic animals, a silent auction, games, food, and more.
The Pet Rescue and Animal Adoption Day is part of a two-day event, the Third Annual Celebration of Life, which takes places June 2-3. To learn more and view the full event schedule, visit www.celebratewildlife.org.
