Latitude Commercial celebrates 2024, with an eye on 2025’s opportunities

2024 proved an exciting time for Latitude Commercial, as it spent the year not only growing its portfolio, but adding new team members, implementing new services, and earning wider industry recognition as it won Northwest Indiana Business Magazine’s Best Commercial Real Estate Firm Award for the fourth straight year.

One of the key factors that earn Latitude respect is its commitment to finding new ways to help its clients. In 2024, it achieved that by welcoming an in-house property management maintenance technician to its team. As the company continues to grow its Property Management Division, the technician will be a major help in meeting client needs.

“We’re really excited about this because it allows us to prioritize and respond to our property management clients quicker and more efficiently,” Michelle Czysczon, office manager at Latitude, said. “Having an in-house technician will eventually allow us to offer ‘tenant services,’ meaning the tenants we serve can hire us to handle their business’s maintenance needs. It’ll be another way we can make business owners’ lives easier.”

The company also implemented the Latitude Employee of the Year Award in 2024. The inaugural award ended in a tie, with honors going to both Ryne Pishkur, director of property management, and Meghan DeLaCruz, director of finance.

Latitude is poised for more additions in 2025 and is already searching for a part-time accounting employee to join its staff in the first quarter of the year. As the company’s president and vice presidents reflect on 2024’s successes, they also have an eye on potential directions for the future.

Aaron McDermott, CCIM, Co-Founder/President

What 2024 accomplishment are you most proud of?

“I was particularly proud to win Best of Business again. It was a great testament to the hard work the office puts into their job. We couldn’t achieve that recognition without the feedback and willingness of our clients to take the time to vote for us.”

What’s one goal or target you’re hoping to reach in 2025?

“Because of the growth we’ve seen and are projecting, my 2025 goal for Latitude is to find a new office space. We might not make the move in 2025, but I need to start thinking about a new location.”

Brett McDermott, CCIM, Co-Founder/Senior Vice President

What 2024 accomplishment are you most proud of?

“I am proud that we continue to build the team while still maintaining the inner office chemistry that we’ve always had. We all work together as one collective unit and team taking our jobs very seriously, but also enjoying time as an office family when the time is right.”

What’s one goal or target you’re hoping to reach in 2025?

“We want to continue to grow. I believe the goal would be, ideally, to add another experienced broker as well as financial administrative support. We are selective with our growth, and as mentioned previously, look for candidates that fit our chemistry and look to be here long-term and to grow as a family.”

Myles Rapchak, Principal/Vice President

What 2024 accomplishment are you most proud of?

“I’m most proud of our philanthropic work within the community. We really pride ourselves on giving back and the fulfillment of helping others is unmatched. We look forward to continuing our volunteer work for many years to come.”

What’s one goal or target you’re hoping to reach in 2025?

“It might be a broad goal, but ultimately I’m hoping to continue growing both the brokerage and property management divisions of Latitude. We have such a great team and environment here, so the sky really is the limit.”
