Learn How to Access Stimulus Funds at May 20 Seminar

Is your business prepared to take advantage of the more than $4 billion in federal stimulus funds designated for Indiana? Learn where the opportunities are and how to access the compliance requirements at an Indiana Chamber seminar on May 20 at the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Indianapolis.

The event --The Stimulus Business: Money, Jobs and Business Opportunities in the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act -- is presented in partnership with the law firm of Baker & Daniels and its Washington, D.C. consulting division, B&D Consulting.

This interactive conference of presentations and participant roundtables is aimed at providing attendees with not only information but also the tools and new business connections to bring the stimulus dollars home. The seminar details the opportunities and issues contained in the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act and the current spending bill, as well as other policy changes in the Obama administration that are resulting in a rapid disbursement of funds with new transparency and compliance requirements.

In addition, each attendee will receive a copy of Accessing the Opportunities - a comprehensive explanation and listing of sources and contacts, including how to make those contacts and receive updates.

Small businesses, large businesses, not-for-profits and entrepreneurs across various industries are encouraged to attend, including those in supply chain, manufacturing, IT, broadband, construction, real estate, public education, higher education, research, health care, workforce development, renewable energy, utilities and community development.

The seminar runs from 8: 30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost is $199 per person. To register to attend, visit www.indianachamber.com/conferences or call (317) 264-6885 or (800) 824-6885.
