Well, the Oscars are this weekend, and thanks to The Dark Knight rule, there are plenty of contenders for that big prize, "Best Picture". I usually try and see each of the movies before hand, but since they expanded it to 10, there was no way I'd have a chance to see them all.
I did see Avatar (meh), Inglorious Basterds (entertaining), Up (loved it), and Up in the Air (loved it). So, quickly, I'll peer in to my crystal ball and pick out the winners for you, so you don't have to watch Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin on Sunday:

- Who will win: Avatar - Too big to fail

- Who will win: The Hurt Locker - everyone is voting for her because she's female (and apparently the movie was good too)

ESPN's 30 for 30 documentaries are coming back soon. I really enjoyed the first set, they took a couple of months off, and now the "Big Guns" are coming in. I really enjoy these as a sports fan because they often tell under-rated or under-reported stories that I didn't know about. Take the Hank Gathers doc coming up. This happened in 1990- how have I gone 20 years and never heard about it? I was four when that happened, but 19 years go by and I never hear of it once?

This week, Viacom announced that they will take off The Daily Show and the Colbert Report off of Hulu, two of the site's most popular shows. This is a setback for the TV-to-Internet era. I am of the opinion that the only way TV-to-Internet will ever truly take off (meaning, truly supported by advertising revenue), there needs to be a ton of content in one place (thus, bumping up page views). When a one video is on NBC.com another is on ComedyCentral.com, and another is on ValpoLife.com, it just makes it that much harder on the user.
