The Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation is accepting registrations for the NEW Friday Night Science Club program to be held one time per month through May. Science Club is for ages 8-12. Each month kids will explore science through hand-on learning experiences. Action Science provides safe, but sometimes messy, projects that can get kids excited about science. Most classes include a take home project. Upcoming themes are as follows:
- February 11 – Slime Time!;
- March 11 Curious Kids Solving Crimes: Behind CSI;
- April 8 – Wing Things;
- and May 13 – Rocketry.
Each class is a separate registration. Attend one or all. The fee is just $35 for non-residents or $25 for residents. Call the Park Department at 219-462-5144 for more information.
