On Wednesday, March 13, Northwestern Indiana Telephone Company (NITCO) hosted a luncheon for local businesses in the Rensselaer and surrounding communities. It was quite the opportunity for networking and gave those in attendance the chance to gain more knowledge on NITCO’s services around the area.
Events like this not only expand one’s knowledge, but allow those involved to feel comfortable and help gain each other's trust when networking together. Today’s luncheon brought so many bright minds behind NITCO’s success together under one roof.
“We always love supporting the chamber and having lunches with them. It is always awesome to partner with them,” said Trisha Madura, Sales Account Executive for NITCO.
NITCO is primarily based in Northwestern Indiana and has been quite the competition for opposing companies in this field since their inception.
“We understand prices are coming down. Six years ago, we were able to upgrade significantly. The coax plant that we have here is going to be more reliable than ever. Businesses love it, we have about 65% of the customer base and we are the majority. That says a lot about this,” said Thomas E. Carroll, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NITCO.
During today’s luncheon, those in attendance received folders with more information about the current state of NITCO and all the important things that may or may not have been touched on during the event.
“In our folders, you will have several pieces of information on our fiber or internet services. We also have other services that we offer there and our business priority protection plan is included. We have our headquarters located in Hebron and we also have an office here in Rensselaer. We are always continuing to grow our network and we need to grow our fiber network specifically,” said Madura.
NITCO takes pride in its ability to refer to be known as an affordable option in terms of connectivity and where they stand amongst others in its field in this particular area. There is much more to take pride in though.
