Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County-South Haven Unit is now accepting reservations for teams from local police and fire department to compete in the 6th Annual “Battle of the Badges” Basketball tournament. The three-day “Battle of the Badges” Tournament will be held on Thursday, May 2nd and Thursday and Friday, May 9th and 10th. All games will be held at the South Haven Unit, located at 723 Long Run Road in Valparaiso.
Local police and fire departments can enter a team in the tournament and compete for the coveted Championship “Battle of the Badges” title. Team registration is $150.00. Currently, police and fire departments participating in this year’s tournament include the South Haven Fire Department, Porter County Sheriff’s Department, and the Portage Police Department. All proceeds from “Battle of the Badges” Basketball Tournament will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County-South Haven Unit. Admission to the games is only $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children with an adult. A trophy will be handed out to the winning team immediately after the completion of the championship game.
