NW-ISBDC Accepting Nominations for 2015 E-Day Awards

eday-awardsThe Northwest ISBDC is seeking nominations for its 24th annual Entrepreneurial Excellence (E-Day) Awards, which continue to spotlight the contributions of area entrepreneurs and champions.

Nominations are due by Aug. 31 and include the following categories: small business person of the year, entrepreneurial success, small business advocate, small business exporter, young entrepreneur, minority-owned small business person, family-owned business, emerging small business, financial services champion and minority small business champion.

Entrepreneurs in the seven-county NW Indiana Small Business Development Center area of Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper, Starke, Pulaski and Newton counties are eligible.

“We are honored to have the opportunity year after year to provide the platform to recognize our region’s shining stars in the small business community,” said Lorri Feldt, regional director of the NW-ISBDC. “We look forward to welcoming this year’s class of honorees and celebrating their accomplishments.”

Winners will be spotlighted at the luncheon event set for Nov. 4 at the Star Plaza in Merrillville.

Serving seven counties in the region, the NW-ISBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the NW-ISBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
