United Way of La Porte County is joining nonprofits across Northwest Indiana in the first-ever NWIgives, an innovative, 24-hour on-line fundraising event encouraging individuals to donate to their favorite causes.
NWIgives starts Feb. 12 at midnight and continues until 11:59 p.m. To participate, individuals can go online to NWIgives.razoo.com and make a tax-deductible donation to support the important work of United Way of La Porte County and other partner agencies in our community.
Nonprofits across La Porte, Lake and Porter Counties have signed up to raise as much money as possible for their communities through the event, organized and presented by Legacy Foundation and Lake Area United Way. Kris Pate, executive director of United Way of La Porte County, sees NWIgives is an opportunity to showcase the ways that United Way and other nonprofits are enhancing the quality of life throughout the region.
“We are pleased to join with other Northwest Indiana organizations to demonstrate the collective impact that individuals can make when they join together for the common good,” she said.
