Opportunity Enterprises will host a free financial workshop on May 4th from 5 to 6 p.m. at OE’s main facility located at 2801 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso. OE’s family finances workshop series is in its second year of providing guidance and information on financial topics to caregivers and families of individuals with disabilities.
OE’s family finances is open to the public and will focus on financial basics and planning. Topics include estate and retirement planning, special needs trusts, and teaching financial basics to loved ones.
Kacie Ensign, Donor Relations Coordinator for OE said, “Families with a loved one who depends on government benefits have to be especially careful when it comes to their financial futures. OE partners with financial advisors who can offer opportunities for our community to educate themselves on how to provide the best financial plan for their families.”
