If you saw Michael McDermott play ONJ this year, then you saw John and Mark open the show. (They're second-from-left and far right in the photo). They are also members of the extremely popular regional band Nomad Planets.
I've been a Planets fan for a number of years, dating back to their first in-studio appearance on the Night Rock show that I co-hosted. When ONJ started up again, they were one of the first bands I thought about. John and Mark went over so well with the McDermott audience that we agreed to book a show with them as soon as we could, and that is Sunday, January 12th.

The music that they create is intriguing. Ostensibly rock, but there's a heavy folk-rock flavor as well. In other words, perfect for One Night Jam, and you get to enjoy it in the intimate Edith Wood Studio theatre. This is a great way to start off a very musical 2014.
And since we know the old wallet has been hit pretty hard by the holiday season, tickets are only $10. That's like a latte' and a muffin at that coffee place... and you get an evening's worth of fantastic live music.
