Patriot INFINITI of Merrillville’s Nick Stasil is committed to achieving customer satisfaction however possible

Nick Stasil, service manager at Patriot INFINITI of Merrillville, is an integral part of the dealership’s daily operations. He manages the dealership’s appointments and monitors the lot’s stock, keeping track of the cars that were left over from the previous days’ sales. He also checks in with the dealership’s garage techs to hear their recommendations for what needs to be done each day.

Along with his other daily tasks, Stasil answers the phones, closes repair orders, submits warranty claims, and follows up with any customers who picked up their new vehicle the previous day. He maintains contact with these customers on a daily basis to ensure that they are satisfied with their shopping experience. Given the numerous tasks that Stasil manages, it is no surprise that he encounters something new each day.

Although Stasil has many responsibilities at his job, one stands out as his particular favorite.

“I especially enjoy helping customers through unexpected problems and making them happy,” Stasil said. “For instance, a customer might call us frustrated because their car has broken down on the side of the road and they can't get to work, can't get home, or can't go pick up their kid from school. I walk them through what they need to do, telling them who they need to call to get the help they need. Once we get their car to the dealership, I’ll get them set up with a loaner car so they can continue about their business until their car is repaired. I like being able to help our customers through bad situations and enjoy seeing them leave the dealership with a smile.”

Stasil's first position at Patriot INFINITI of Merrillville was that of a parts driver. However, after he had spent about two weeks in the position, an advisor role opened up. Since the dealership wanted to hire from within, Stasil was promoted to an advisor position. About five years later, Stasil was offered another promotion, this time for the role of service manager. Stasil’s fondest memory of his time at Patriot INFINITI of Merrillville is the day he was offered the service manager position.

“It was great to see that all of the hard work I’d done in the previous five years had been noticed,” Stasil said. “I appreciated the fact that they trusted me enough to promote me to manager and lead a whole department. I remember being called into the office with a scary, ‘Hey, come here, Nick.’ I had no idea what was going on. When they asked if I would accept the promotion to service manager, I said, ‘Yes, absolutely!’”

Stasil loves golf and has played the sport all his life. He finds that taking the course helps clear his mind of the pressures of work. Although being so involved with his customers’ lives can be taxing for Stasil, he remains committed to helping Patriot INFINITI of Merrillville become the best it can be.

“My goal is to continue increasing Patriot INFINITI of Merrillville’s profitability as much as possible,” Stasil said. “I think that the new advertising strategies we’ve employed and our decision to partner with GreatNews.Life are steps in the right direction. I can definitely see light at the end of the tunnel.”
