Dental Students Attend Conference in Chicago

 

Alternative Energy Production Exceeds One Megawatt

On Tuesday, March 12, we achieved a total of one megawatt green electrical production from our solar array since its installation.

CTE Mentors Take Career Opportunity Information to 8th Graders

We are very proud of our 22 competitors and our winners. Porter County Career & Technical Center placed 9th out of over 50 DECA Chapters. *These students will have the opportunity to represent the State of Indiana at the International DECA Conference in Anaheim, California in April.

Indiana Association of School Broadcasters Conference in Indianapolis


On Monday March 4th, 26 Video production students joined over 700 other students from across the state at the University of Indianapolis for the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters conference and competition. The conference began with the opportunity to hear from over a dozen industry professionals during the morning. The day ended with an awards ceremony. The Porter County Career Center took home three 3rd place awards: Rachel Santos (PHS) for a corporate video produced for the Porter County Community Foundation, Precious Pabon (Hebron) for her feature story about the Popcorn Festival Parade, and Justin Trunick (WTHS) for his PSA about online bullying.

Kayla Bowman, Auto Student, Athlete – PCCTC Star of the Month


Kayla works very hard in our Automotive Technology program. She is the only female in the class and she holds her own very well and excels. In addition, Kayla and her teammates, placed first in Basketball for Special Olympics on March 9. Congratulations Kayla, you are special in many ways.
