Porter County Community Foundation Announces 2015 Community Fund Grant Recipients

Porter-County-Community-Foundation-announces-Community-Fund-grant-recipients-2015The Porter County Community Foundation announced the recipients of its second round of 2015 Community Fund grants earlier this month. The Foundation awarded more than $95,000 in grants to 10 local nonprofit organizations to help fund programs, supplies, and equipment.

The second round grant recipients are: Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Gary, Dunes Learning Center, Gabriel’s Horn, Habitat for Humanity of Porter County, Legacy Foundation, Portage Resale Shop, Porter County Parks Foundation, Reins of Life, and Shirley Heinze Land Trust.

In addition to the Community Fund grants, the Foundation also awarded more than $30,000 in grants from the Porter Health & Wellness Fund to the following nonprofit organizations: Call-A-Ride, Duneland Family YMCA, Frontline Foundations, and Hilltop Neighborhood House.

The Porter County Community Fund and the Porter Health & Wellness Fund are two of the 350+ funds administered by the Foundation that benefit a variety of charitable initiatives. Annually, the Foundation disburses nearly $2 million in scholarships and grants to nonprofit organizations.
