Porter-Starke Services Presents: Learn @ Lunch, “The True Face of Drug-related and Mental Health Deaths in Porter County”

rot004On Tuesday, August 19, Porter-Starke Services will host its Learn@Lunch series with an informative educational lecture entitled, "The True Face of Drug-related and Mental Health Deaths in Porter County" from 11:30-1:00 PM at Porter-Starke Services located at 701 Wall Street in Valparaiso. Chuck Harris, Porter County Coroner will be the featured presenter.

This Learn@Lunch will touch on different deaths in Porter County that have been ruled drug or mental health related. Mr. Harris will also discuss the statistics connected to each of the different types of deaths, the effects of heroin, substance abuse and depression in Porter County, as well as, how to address the issues to make an impact going forward. This presentation contains actual coroner report data and death scene photos.

The Learn@Lunch series consist of monthly educational seminars featuring informative and practical mental health and wellness topics. Seminar locations rotate between Valparaiso, Portage and Knox and are open to the general public as well as clinicians and educators. When applicable, Porter-Starke Services offers 1.5 Continuing Education Credits for $5.00.
