The Blazers swept the doubles matches, with Taylor Bowen and Stephanie Espar (6-1, 6-0) winning at No. 1 and Ari Gatzka and Zoya Ganz (7-5, 6-0) winning at No. 2.
Wheeler had wins from Haylee Collins (6-0, 6-0) at No. 2 singles and Karlee Guerrero (6-1, 6-2) at No. 3 singles.
Abigail Schmidt gave Marquette a win at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
The Blazers will host Lake Station on Thursday.
Michigan City 4, La Porte 1 (Girls Tennis)
The Wolves won all three singles matches on Tuesday, with Megan Methner winning at No. 1, 6-4, 7-5; Dayna Pedinzki at No. 2, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 and Kathi Jaschinski at No. 3, 6-4, 7-6.
La Porte won the junior varsity match, 5-1.
River Forest 5, Marquette 4 (Baseball)
The Ingots took the lead in the sixth and never looked back.
Hammond Morton 11, Lake Station Edison 1 (Baseball)
Hammond Morton (6-4) scored 11 unanswered runs on Monday to pick up the win in the Greater Southsore Conference.
Jose Silva went 2-for-2 for Edison (4-8).
