Prepare Yourselves for the 2013 Valpo Tri!

New-Valpo-Park-Logo-ColorIt's that time of year again. The Valpo Tri is upon us, people. Here is the info that you need to get into the race.

The Valpo Tri is a sprint distance triathlon of a swim/bike/run coordination, carried out in that order.

Swim: .25 mile

Bike: 12.4 miles from Rogers Lakewood Park, onto county roads, and back into the park

Run: 3.2 miles out of Rogers Lakewood Park, onto pathway residential streets, finishing at park.

USAT-sanctioned race: USAT membership required. One-day membership included in pricing

Electronic chip timing with end result and splits

Minimum age of 15 years*

Register by July 10 or maximum of 500 participants

Online registration at www.valpotri.net. Race day registration not available.

Cost is $72 individual non-USAT member, $60 individual USAT member, and $120 team - all USAT members; $12 additional per non-USAT member. There is a $10 late fee for registration received after June 28 and dry-release shirt if registered by June 28.

Packet pick-up at Rogers-Lakewood Park: Friday, July 12, 5 - 7 PM and Saturday, July 13, 6 - 7 AM.

RACE DAY

The Body Marking and Transition Area open at 6:15 AM, Pre-race meeting required at 7:30 AM and Transition area will be unsecured at 10:30 AM.

Awards will be given to overall Male, Female, and Team as well as age group awards (age as of December 31, 2013)*.
