Proceeds totaling more than $2,500 from Porter Regional Hospital’s Healthy Hustle 5K Run/Walk were recently awarded to its beneficiary, Lakeshore PAWS.
This year, more than 200 people came out to participate and support this event and its beneficiary Lakeshore PAWS – a totally volunteer–run organization dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned and unwanted pets in Northwest Indiana.
Lakeshore PAWS has been the recipient of the Healthy Hustle proceeds, chosen by Porter associates, since the inaugural race in 2012, which was held on the campus of Porter Regional Hospital. The past two years, the race has been held at Sunset Hill Farm County Park.
