Reach Out and Touch Someone iPod Touch Contest Winners! (6 of 6)

Through the second half of December 2011, we hooked up with six local businesses who wanted to help us reward our readership for sharing something on the site that “touched” them.

With the help of Group 7even, Frontier Communications, Northshore Health Centers, Anytime Fitness, and Cavanaugh Orthodontics, we’re excited to announce the winners of our 2011 “Reach Out and Touch Someone” contest!

Our sixth winner, courtesy of Cavanaugh Orthodontics, is...Michelle Clemons! Michelle's winning comment came from our article about the iPod contest!

Michelle commented, "What a great contest! I love your positive news."

"We have a great time reading about our patients and their successes on Valpolife.com and Portagelife.com," said Matt Nondorf of Cavanaugh Orthodontics. "We feel like it is the pulse of the community."

Our fifth winner, courtesy of Group 7even, is... Danna Alexander! Danna's winning comment came from endorsing the Portage "Shop with a Firefighter" program.

Danna commented, "Portage shop with a Firefighter :-)".

"Part of the DNA of Group 7even as a company is to operate with integrity and be positive contributor to our community," explained Grant Andres of Group 7even. "That’s what ValpoLife is all about, and that’s why we feel so honored to partner with them in this giveaway."

Our fourth winner, courtesy again of Frontier Communications, is... David Mueller! David's winning comment came from our round-up of holiday religious services taking place this winter.

Dave commented, "This is great! I love that all this information is in one spot. I can say from experience that Immanuel puts on an awesome Christmas service!"

Our third winner, courtesy of Frontier Communications is... Athena Evans! Athena commented on a story about volunteers from ArcelorMittal working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County to help out some needy children this holiday season.

Athena commented, "It is so nice that ArcelorMittal gives back! Glad to see good things happen to good people!"

Our second winner, courtesy of Northshore Health Centers is... Scott Sebert! Scott's winning comment came from a story about Troy Williams becoming Portage' new Police Chief!

Scott commented, "Congrats Troy...It was definitely time for a change here in Portage. Make Us Proud!"

Our first winner, courtesy of Anytime Fitness Valparaiso is… Chris Adkins! Chris’ winning comment came from a story about Flanagin’s Bulk Mail Service’s Mini-Main Street display in their office.

Chris commented, “Love this article. It makes me want to go and check them out. how creative to think of such. meaningful walls. We are planning a trip after the holiday.”

“We’re happy to give Chris an iPod Touch—it’s very touching to see how happy the iPod made the winner,” said Brittany Cowan of Anytime Fitness. “We love doing contests. It’s a great way to get people talking about our club in a positive way and it gives us some great exposure in the community.”
