Kinder lernen Deutsch is a German language program for children in grades 1–5, held on Monday afternoons at the Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center on the campus of Valparaiso University. At all levels, both beginners and children with prior German exposure are welcome.
Participants get a simple introduction to German language and culture through fun activities, games and songs. Kinder lernen Deutsch is taught by Valparaiso University students of German under the supervision of Timothy Malchow, Ph.D., associate professor of German and director of the Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center.
Classes take place 4–5 p.m. on Mondays, beginning Sept. 17 and running through April 2019. The cost for the year is $75. Further information is available at valpo.edu/foreign-languages-and-literatures/german/community-resources/kinder-lernen-deutsch.
