Valparaiso University is excited to announce that the Kinder lernen Deutsch program has resumed after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kinder lernen Deutsch is a German language program for children in grades 2-4. Classes are on Mondays from 4-5 p.m. at the Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center at Valparaiso University. The program begins September 26, 2022 and runs through February 2023. Classes cost $75 per participant. Beginners and children with prior German experience are welcome.
Participants get a simple introduction to German language and culture through fun activities, games and songs. Kinder lernen Deutsch is taught by Valparaiso University students of German under the supervision of Timothy Malchow, Ph.D., professor of German and director of the Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center.
