Reins of Life Inc. will be holding a volunteer orientation session on Wednesday June 5 from 5:30 to 9:00 at their Michigan City facility located at 9375 W 300 N Michigan City, Indiana 46360. Reins of Life provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities, serving over 500 riders through its two facilities in northwest Indiana. The organization is looking for volunteers to help assist their riders during riding lessons. Pre-registration is mandatory and volunteers must be at least 13 years old. No previous horse experience is required.
Reins of Life Inc. has been serving the area since 1978 and has been accredited by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship since its inception.
