SBDC Adviser Connects with Clients at INnovation Center

nwi-sbdcThe Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center is strengthening ties with the Lake County business community by making a business adviser available at the Hammond INnovation Center.

Business adviser Bill Gregory will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first and third Mondays of the month at the Center, 5209 Hohman Ave. To meet with Gregory, visit www.nwisbdc.org, fill out a business assessment and call (219) 644-3513 to schedule an appointment.

Gregory said the SBDC is looking to reach additional individuals by providing another main location to meet clients beyond the offices at the Purdue Technology Center of Northwest Indiana in Crown Point.

“We have a long and good relationship with the INnovation Center and I think we can continue to build on that by counseling clients in that space,” he added.

NWI SBDC Regional Director Lorri Feldt said community partners, such as the INnovation Center, continue to help the SBDC fulfill its mission.

“We strive to serve all corners of our region and Bill’s designated time at the Center allows us to connect with even more entrepreneurs,” she said.

Serving seven counties in the region, the NWI SBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the NWI SBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
