Vale Park Animal Hospital has many great men and women on staff. Some are behind the scenes, some are up front helping their four-legged and two-legged clients. Someone that many see on a day-to-day basis is Debbie Hanberry, a receptionist who has been with Vale Park since 1990.
“I came to Vale Park with Dr. Jerry,” Hanberry said. “He’s such a generous and kind man.”
Hanberry has a sweet disposition and she has a smile ready for everyone who comes in to Vale Park. She loves animals and the people who come with them.
“Working with people is a passion of mine,” Hanberry said. “Making them smile makes me smile.”
Hanberry was the office manager for 23 years before she took on a different role as receptionist. She helps with scheduling, medicine requests, accounts receivable, and she is the first and last face that clients see when they enter Vale Park with their pets, and leave for the day.
“I love the people I work with and I also love our clients,” Hanberry said. “We remember that at the end of the leash is a person and I, as well as the rest of the staff, try to do whatever we can to make their day better.”
Customer service is at the top of the list for Hanberry. She knows that the animals and owners who come in rely on Vale Park to take care of their big and small needs.
“The owners are wonderful and they have allowed me to do what I loved,” Hanberry said. “I’m as happy as I can be.”
