We are excited to share Adam Savage’s enthusiasm for creating with our audience,” said Leslie Plesac, executive director of the Sinai Forum at Purdue Northwest.  “In his own words, Savage says ‘it doesn’t matter if you’re a model maker, a potter, a dancer, a programmer, a writer, a political activist, a teacher, a musician, a milliner, whatever. It’s all the same. Making is making, and none of it is failure.’”

One of the most beloved figures in science and technology, Adam Savage has spent most of his life gathering skills that allow him to take ideas and make them real. In his program, titled “Every Tool’s a Hammer: Life is What You Make It,” Savage will share his golden rules of creativity, curiosity and problem solving. He will share insights from his “Mythbusters” journey through 40-plus years as a maker and creator. From finding inspiration to following through on making an idea a reality, he encourages us to push the boundaries of what’s possible and provides a toolbox of techniques to achieve personal and professional success.

The patron reception will be held in the Freemont Ballroom at Stardust Event Center at 2:30 p.m. CST.  Patron tickets are required to attend the reception.
