The Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center is teaming with social media coach Kathy Sipple to offer Advanced Facebook for Business from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday Aug. 23 at the Purdue University Calumet Academic Learning Center, 9900 Connecticut Drive, in Room 221.
Sipple will walk participants through advanced techniques and Facebook features for making the most out of this social media outlet as well as analyze sample Facebook business pages.
Objectives of the half-day hands-on workshop include: efficiently and effectively creating and posting quality content; building effective partnerships with non-competing businesses and key stakeholders; expanding page capabilities with applications; incorporating multi-media; gaining insight and setting growth goals; creating events and promotions; creating effective ads; and learning about the new timeline feature.
This is a hands-on interactive event that will be held in a computer lab. As it is an advanced workshop, basic proficiency in Facebook is required.
The cost of the workshop is $50 and pre-registration and pre-payment are required. To register, visit www.nwisbdc.org, click on seminars and events, the workshop, and follow instructions or call 219-644-3513.
