St. Paul 7th-8th Grade Team Falls to St. Michael’s

The 7th-8th grade St. Paul Panthers soccer team came up short against St. Michael’s this past weekend, losing by a score of 6-3. St. Mike’s scored five goals while keeping the Panthers scoreless in the first half, though only out-shooting the Panthers 11 to 9. The Panthers toughed it out and came back in the second half with three goals scored by Thomas Walsh, Andrew Page and Evan Fogle. The Panther defense also did a much better job after halftime, keeping St. Mike’s to just three shots on-goal during the entire second half. However, the damage had been done, much of it by a St. Mike’s player who scored five of their six goals unassisted.

The 7th-8th grade Panthers do not have any games the weekend of September 26-27, and return to action on October 3 at 10 a.m. against St. John the Evangelist on the St. John home field.
