Residents enjoyed rides around the community on Richard Uzzell’s special bike
StoryPoint Chesterton resident Richard Uzzell moved to StoryPoint Chesterton without his 4-wheel bike, but now it has been returned to him. The staff at StoryPoint traveled to Elgin, Illinois, to pick up the pick for him. This special 4-wheel bike has been in many parades, and they are excited to showcase it at the community. After cleaning and servicing the bike, they hosted a party outside to show it off. They offered rides around the community for residents. The celebration of the bike comes shortly after National Bicycle Day, which was June 3rd.
“We are spinning our wheels and going somewhere!” resident, Wilma, exclaimed while taking a ride. Life enrichment manager, Shelly McCarthy drove around the building 13 times with the residents.
