StoryPoint and their sister company, Independence Village, celebrated a huge win at their National Cookie Madness event last Saturday, April 28th, at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, MI. The event brought together residents from the final four cookie communities, families, employees and community leaders. The “celebrity panel” included Renee Chodkowski otherwise known as “The Great Foodini”, Mona Shand, Nolan Finley, Sean Tracy and Paul Glantz. These five chose The Fresh Glazed Apple Cookie as the “greatest cookie in the cosmos.”
Martha Palmateer, from Independence Village of Petoskey, won this entire competition after she was flown from her home to the event in Ann Arbor. She accredits her baking skills to her husband’s love of cookies. She recounts always trying to find new cookie recipes to try in order to appease George’s sweet tooth. The couple has lived at Independence Village of Petoskey for 10 years this June.
StoryPoint and Independence Village, had over 200 residents participate in their March Madness inspired competition to find the best cookie. Martha’s winning cookie will become the featured dessert on the company’s food truck, otherwise known as The Friendly Fork Food Truck.
