Students Go Head to Head in Book Battle

Three-school-book-battleLiberty Elementary hosted a three-school book battle with Bailly and Brummitt Elementaries last week. The top fourth grade team from each of three Duneland schools traveled to Liberty to participate.

Each child had to read five of the 16 Young Hoosier books, blog about three of them and pass quizzes on five books to participate in the Book Battle. The actual battle itself involves each of the teams answering questions about the sixteen different books correctly.

The team with the most correct answers wins the battle. Winning first place was the Liberty Elementary Happy Tree Friends, center, front Nicholas Hanson and Ethan Mahaffey and back, Cody Cornelison, Dimitri Nicholson and Kyler Haynes. Second place went to the Brummitt Cuckoo Birds, left side, front, Anna Gardner and Abby Henderson and back, Riley McCoy, Eve Senderhauf and Alyssa Armato. Third place went to the Bailly Elementary Neon Zebras, right side, front, Madison Simons and Grace Rehtorik and back Drake Joiner, Sam Henderson and Rose Gemeinhart.
