Every Saturday and Tuesday the Valparaiso Farmers Market takes place by the Central Park Plaza in Valparaiso. I hope you have had a chance to go out there and see all of the great items that the vendors have for sale. There really isn't much better in the summer than fresh, locally grown produce, homemade baked goods, local honey and olive oils, and friendly face of the hardworking people who make all of these items available to us.
Northwest Indiana is a wonderful place and we can count ourselves lucky to have all of these great local businesses here. What makes this even better is that Valparaiso Events brings all of these businesses to one beautiful location twice a week!
There is a large difference between the taste of blueberries purchased from a big box store and the taste of freshly picked blueberries from the farm that is 15 minutes away.
On top of the great shopping, there is the Central Park Plaza and the splash pad. Families can bring their kids out for free to have some cool fun in the sun. Live music can be heard playing from the plaza stage (Tuesdays only) and the sound mingles with the laughter of the kids.
It really doesn't get much better than that. Save money, shop local, enjoy Valparaiso.
