The Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce participated in the United Way of Porter County's Day of Caring on August 4, 2017. The ladies of the Portage Chamber each participated in a different project in a effort to have a greater impact on the community.
Exectutive Director, Nancy Simpson and the Portage Kiwanis group organized a stuffed animal collection for the Reading Buddies Program; Administrative Assistant Mary Linoski and the Portage Rotary group collected sample size soaps with the help of the Portage Best Western to donate to the RSVP program; and Director of Marketing and Community Development, Jessica Bailey and the Full Circles Young Professional group went to Jacob's Ladder for some deep cleaning, organizing, and painting. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Portage Chamber to support the community.
