The Lakes of Valparaiso is making great strides as it opened the first of many units as well as the beautiful club house in early May, much to the excitement of the community. Prospective residents, community leaders, and supporters of The Lakes of Valparaiso came out to celebrate the occasion and to get a look inside the high end living quarters.
The Lakes of Valparaiso is located in a quiet and spacious part of the city, surrounded by lush foliage, friendly neighborhoods, and conveniently located near Washington Township Schools, downtown Valparaiso, and Porter Regional Hospital. This apartment community was created by only the best designers, architects, and engineers, and it caters to those with an active lifestyle.
The Lakes of Valparaiso offers one, two, and three-bedroom floor plans that are all equipped with fantastic amenities like: granite countertops, deep soak bathtubs, stainless steel appliances, full size washers and dryers, and more. Residents can get apartments prefurnished by request, and are offered the option of private entrances, internet capabilities, and attached garage units.
“A lot of time and effort was put into the design and build of each of the apartments here at The Lakes of Valparaiso,” Megan Matthai, Leasing Agent and Concierge for the Lakes of Valparaiso said. “We want to make sure that the expectations that our residents have are met and exceeded, giving them a comfortable home and peace of mind.”
On the outside, the façade of each unit boasts modern designs and cool tones that please the eye of the viewer. The clubhouse that sits just a short walking distance away is home to many fabulous amenities that residents can utilize including a 24-hour fitness center, a business center, a movie and gaming area, an open lounge, a gourmet kitchen and dining area, and more. Walking paths wind through the expanse, and multiple lakes ripple and glisten alongside the units, giving credence to the community’s name.
Inside the clubhouse was where the ribbon cutting that officially marked the opening took place. People from all over the Region milled about and chatted, ate the delicious food that was provided by Pestos, sipped drinks from the bar as well as sweets from a candy bar, and perused the open models of the rooms that The Lakes of Valparaiso contained.
“I’d like to thank everyone who helped us reach our goal… We couldn’t have done it without you. We’re very happy and it’s a beautiful community,” Don Weiss, President of Weiss Entities, Inc said.
Weiss Entities Inc purchased the land that the Lakes of Valparaiso sits on a few years prior and had the goal of building something that the community could be proud of. The company worked with the City of Valparaiso to bring the apartment community to fruition, and now the first residents are all moved in and enjoying the fruits that the collaboration bore.
“Don and his team worked very hard to bring this community to life,” Valparaiso Mayor Jon Costas said. “It’s really great when someone is a talent business person, and it’s really great when someone is just a wonderful person. But it’s even greater when they come together into one being. Don is that combination. He is incredibly talented, he’s a person of integrity, he’s very generous, and we are delighted that he has invested so much in our community over the years.”
