Water Damage is Progressive
The first step in structural water damage remediation is to quickly and accurately remove all the moisture in the structure. The longer materials stay wet, the greater the possibility of secondary damage and loss of structural integrity. Given enough time and moisture, organic materials like drywall, paper, and wood are a great food source for mold.

Thermography
Thermal, or infrared energy, is invisible to the naked eye. It’s the part of the electromagnetic spectrum perceived as heat. Everything with a temperature above absolute zero emits heat. Even very cold objects, like ice cubes, emit infrared energy. The higher the temperature, the greater the amount of infrared radiation emitted by an object. Thermography is the use of an infrared camera to “see” and measure thermal energy emitted from an object.

Benefits
Faster, More Thorough Drying
Because the thermal camera allows professionals to locate the full extent of water the first time, drying times are shorter and moisture removal is more thorough than ever before.

Less Invasive
Unlike other moisture detection methods, thermography requires little or no physical disassembly of the premises and minimal disturbance of its inhabitants.

More Precise Documentation
The thermal imaging cameras used by Rainbow International Restoration & Cleaning allow users to record and save images, important for complete documentation of any remediation job.
