TIGER Grant Due June 3rd!

NirpcGBLogocopyThe US Department of Transportation is currently accepting applications for their National Infrastructure Investments, or TIGER Discretionary Grants, until June 3rd.

The money appropriated for this current round is $474 million for projects that will have a SIGNIFICANT IMPACT on the nation, metropolitan area or region. This is an 80-20 matching grant.

There is a major catch – your project MUST meet all local, state and federal requirements by June 30, 2014…basically “shovel-ready” projects. Minimum request in urban areas is $10 million ($1 million in rural areas), and max is $200 million.

To get a handle on previously awarded TIGER projects, please visit www.dot.gov/TIGER.

I ask that you please direct all questions to the contacts listed in the application. This program does NOT run through NIRPC.
