The Department of Public Works is postponing trash and recycling services next week, beginning Monday, Jan. 6, due to the anticipated subzero conditions.
For the week, beginning, Jan. 6, all trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day. So, trash and recycling that is typically picked up on Monday, will happen on Tuesday. The typical Tuesday route will be picked up on Wednesday, and so on.
The regular schedule will resume on Monday, January 13. "We're looking ahead to the dangerously low temps that are predicted and want to provide the safest service possible," said Matt Evans, Public Works Director.
